  • Athenascope provides you, the user, a platform for generating and sharing highlights of your gameplay. By visiting the Athenascope website, registering with Athenascope, or using any Athenascope services, you are accepting and agree to comply with this policy.
  • This Privacy Policy covers Athenascope’s treatment of personal information that Athenascope gathers when you are on the Athenascope website and when you use Athenascope services. This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Athenascope does not own or control, or individuals that Athenascope does not employ or manage.

    • We receive and store any information you voluntarily provide on our website or provide to us in any other way.     • Registration: In order for you to use Athenascope services you must complete a registration form. As part of this registration form, we require certain personal information. Our lawful basis for collecting personal information from you is to provide our services and to communicate with you through your consent when you register with us. Our collection of personal information from you is limited to information that we require in order to provide our services to you.
    • User Profile: To allow you to express yourself beyond just the information collected during registration, we enable you to provide additional information, such as your first and last names, email address, social media, and messaging account names. In addition, you may choose to provide video recordings of yourself and your gameplay. As indicated below, in the section titled "Sharing Your Information", you can control how your information is displayed and used.
    • You have the right to edit, update, access, or transfer your personal information, or to delete your personal information if you are terminating your registration with Athenascope.

Other Information

  • Data We Collect Automatically: We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Athenascope and its authorized agents automatically receive and record certain "traffic data" on their server logs from your browser and apps including your IP address, device ID, Athenascope cookie information, and the page you requested. Athenascope uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends and administer the website. This does not involve collecting any of your personal information.
  • Aggregated Information: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve Athenascope users, we may conduct research on our customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the information collected. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and we may share this aggregate data with our affiliates, agents and business partners. We may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.
  • Info through other Services: You may give us permission to collect your information in other services. For example, you may connect a social networking service such as Twitch, Discord, or Twitter to your Athenascope account. When you do this, it allows us to obtain information from those accounts (for example, your friends or contacts).
  • Cookies: We employ cookies and similar technologies to keep track of your local computer’s settings such as which account you have logged into and notification settings. Cookies are pieces of data that sites and services can set on your browser or device that can be read on future visits. We may expand our use of cookies to save additional data as new features are added to the Service. In addition, we use technologies such as web beacons and single-pixel gifs to record log data such as open rates for emails sent by the system.
  • Analytics: Athenascope uses third-party analytics tools to help analyze and understand how our site is used, so that we can make Athenascope products more interesting to you. These tools capture data about how individual users are using our site and mobile applications. This includes event logs, device type and device configuration settings such as language, crash data and other data but never personal information. These third-party services treat the analytics data in accordance with this privacy policy and Athenascope does not disclose your personal information to any third parties through our use of these services.

Many companies offer programs that help you to visit websites anonymously. While Athenascope will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these programs are available.

Where Information is Processed

Athenascope is based in the United States. No matter where you are located, you consent to the processing and transferring of your information in and to the U.S. and other countries. The laws of the U.S. and other countries governing data collection and use may not be as comprehensive or protective as the laws of the country where you live.


Athenascope will never provide your email address to a third party without your explicit permission, as detailed in the "Sharing Your Information" section below. Athenascope may send out emails with Athenascope-related news, products, offers, surveys or promotions. You may also receive notification emails from Athenascope, which inform you of actions (e.g. “your highlights are ready”) that have been performed on the site. We send these emails to you based on receiving your consent at registration. If you do not want to receive email from us, please visit the “email Preferences” section of your User Profile and/or follow the “unsubscribe” instructions contained in each email message. However, please note that in all cases you will continue to receive all system emails (e.g. those regarding forgotten user passwords) and legal notices (e.g. updates to our policies) from us unless you terminate your registration.

Sharing Your Information

Because Athenascope enables people to share gaming highlights with one another, information about the people who use Athenascope is an integral part of the Athenascope experience. We will not rent or sell your personal information to anyone and we only share your personal information as described below:

  • Athenascope Personnel: Athenascope employees and authorized consultants and/or contractors may have access to user information if necessary in the normal course of Athenascope business.
  • Business Transfers: If Athenascope were acquired, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred. In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred.
  • Protection of Athenascope and Others: We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with a law; to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other policies; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Athenascope, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
  • User Profile information: Information collected during registration and subsequent visits, such as your full name and location, may be displayed to other Athenascope users in your User Profile. The User Profile is the area on Athenascope where we allow you to tell other Athenascope users about yourself. You may control what personal information is displayed in your User Profile by visiting the Settings section of your User Profile.
  • Followers' Activity: Much like other online social networks, Athenascope allows non-followers to browse your followers’ activity.
  • Service Providers: Athenascope may share user information as well as information from tools such as cookies, log files, device identifiers and location data, with third-parties that help Athenascope provide services to you (“Service Providers”). Our Service Providers will be given access to your information as is reasonably necessary for Athenascope to provide our services. Athenascope requires Services Providers to protect your data in a manner consistent with this Policy and to limit the use of such information to the performance of services for Athenascope. Athenascope may also remove parts of data that can identify you and share anonymized data with Service Providers, including combining your information with other information in a way that it is no longer associated with you.
  • Data Storage: Your encrypted personal information is stored on servers provided by a third-party cloud-based service provider that protects and stores your data in a manner that is consistent with this Policy.
  • With Your Consent: Except as noted above, we will contact you when your personal information is shared with third parties or used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected, and you will be able to opt out to prevent the sharing of this information.

Keeping Information Secure

  • Your Athenascope account information is protected by an encrypted password for your privacy and security. Protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by logging off once you have finished using a shared computer.
  • Only employees who need personal information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to it. All of our employees are kept up to date on our privacy and security practices.

Unsolicited Information

You may provide us with ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, “Unsolicited Information”). All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and we shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information to others without limitation or attribution.


Our Services are for users age 13 and over and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 and believe he or she has disclosed personal information to us please contact us at For residents of the EEA, where processing of personal information is based on consent, Athenascope will not knowingly engage in that processing for users under the age of consent established by applicable data protection law. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services. The Services may contain links to other web sites not operated or controlled by us (the “Third Party Sites”). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. The links from the Services do not imply that we endorse or have reviewed the Third Party Sites. Data Retention

We generally retain personal data for so long as it may be relevant to the purposes identified herein. To dispose of personal data, we may anonymize it, delete it, or take other appropriate steps. Data may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time.
